March 2021 Books of the Month

My March 2021 Book of the Month is Prisoners of Geography by Tim Marshall. It covers the geopolitical contexts and situations in several vital regions of the world. These include: RussiaChina, the United StatesEurope, the Middle EastSouth AsiaAfricaJapan & KoreaLatin America, and the Arctic Ocean. Learn why the DRC is a cesspool, why Russia needs Crimea, why America's geography is great, why France and Germany are destined for greatness, why the EU is doomed to fail, and how Arabia became a warzone.
I like this book primarily because I am a cartophile. It contains lots of maps, explains our world, and reminds me that Russia is in trouble. (I don't like Putin.) Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone interested in geography, politics, or geopolitics.

My March 2021 Book of the Month was The Unwind Dystology by Neal Shusterman. Since I have already reviewed the first book, UnWind, I will now vaguely tease about things that happen in the later books, UnWholly, UnSouled, and UnDivided. I will also talk about UnBound, a collection of short stories.
  • There is a fun, new character.
  • There is a great plot twist at the very end of UnSouled.
  • There is a shadowy organization.
  • There is a rogue person who thinks that everything they do is smart and helpful. They are wrong.
  • And finally, UnBound has a bunch of short stories that tie up a lot of loose ends. These stories are UnSchooled, Unfinished Symphony, UnDevoured, UnClean, UnStrung, Unnatural Selection, UnConfirmed, UnTithed, Rewinds, and Unknown Quantity. These all tie together to make them very exciting.
